Foster Care

Caring for children is an important job. Foster families play an important role in providing homes for children whose families are temporarily unable to look after them. Foster families open their homes to provide love and care for children in need. A family is the preferred living environment for children and youth.  There are different types of foster care - full time, temporary, respite, emergency and foster care for the child of a relative or friend. Daily rates are paid to foster parents. Other items are also reimbursed such as bicycles, camp fees, and clothing.
