Community Health Centre Services

The new Deninue Kue Health Centre is almost ready !  Moving into the new health centre will involve some closures of the current health centre.  During these times, emergency services will be available by calling 376-0052.

One nurse practitioner, one community health nurse, a Community Health Representative and a clerk interpreter provide the following services at the health centre:

Nurse practitioner/community health nurse:

  • Emergency, acute and diagnostic services
  • After hours emergency on call coverage
  • Monday to Friday clinic appointments
  • Public health programs: TB surveillance, Well Woman, Well Man, Well Child, immunization, chronic illness, pre and post natal, sexual health, child developmental screening and assessment
  • Continuing care including palliative care and referral to home support services
  • Addictions referrals and medical assessments

Community Health Representative:

  • Prenatal
  •  School
  •  Environmental health
  •  Health promotion – for example – active living, tobacco awareness and cessation

 Visiting specialist services:

  • Bi-weekly physician visits
  • Eye team
  • Dental team
  • Environmental Health Officer
  • Community Dietitian
  • Diabetes Education Program
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Physiotherapist
