Community Health Centre Services

Two community health nurses, a community health representative and a clerk interpreter provide the following services at the health centre:

Community health nurses:

  • Emergency, acute and diagnostic services
  • After hours emergency on call
  • Monday to Friday clinic appointments
  • Public health programs: TB surveillance, Well Woman, Well Man, Well Child, immunization, chronic illness, pre and post natal, sexual health, child developmental screening and assessment
  • Addictions referrals and medical assessments

Community Health Representative:

  • Prenatal
  •  School
  •  Environmental health
  •  Health promotion – for example – active living, tobacco awareness and cessation

 Visiting specialist services:

  • Physician visits
  • Eye team
  • Dental team
  • Environmental Health Officer
  • Community Dietitian
  • Diabetes Education Program
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Physiotherapist

Continuing Care

  • Elders meal program
  • Referrals to Long term Care
  • Palliative Care as needed
